ABOUT THE FILM

Small Hours is an independent feature-length film shot in Central Florida. Shooting without a conventional screenplay created a unique and spontaneous environment that was often inspiring, challenging, and at times terrifying. Dialog was improvised and scenes were added and subtracted during shooting with only a treatment for a guide.
From casting to the last scene, Small Hours was never focused on conventional plot or scripting, but rather 'letting life in' and an exploration of the filmmaking process.
In the end, creating Small Hours was an amazing and sometimes absurd experience that often paralleled Travis' strange journey through that summer night. It would have never been possible without some of the greatest and most talented people I've ever worked with.
